How many people are permitted during Amber House weddings?
Due to our small size, Amber House can host a maximum of 20 persons in our garden.
Does your maximum amount of people include the bride and groom, photographers, and wedding party?
The maximum number of people, including the bride, groom and other members of the wedding party must not exceed 20 guests in the garden. This also includes the minister and any other people associated with the event.

In which areas of Amber House do weddings typically take place?
Amber House has a lovely garden to hold ceremonies and receptions. It is in the garden area of our Yellow house, a Dutch Colonial-style built in 1895 right across the street from our main house. We do suggest renting a room for the bride to get ready in, as we do not have a bridal space.
What if I want to bring my own food and drinks?
You will be responsible for all your own food and beverages. You can bring your own food or hire a caterer. We have a kitchen you can use for food assembly and reheating of food only. We are are licensed for beer and wine, but not spirits.
Can I decorate Amber House for my wedding?
We allow decorations to be used at Amber House events. You are welcome to bring flowers and other decorations as long as they do not permanently change the structure or design of our Inn, and will have access to the Garden (free of charge) to set up. Details will be specified in contract. Amber House does not provide decorations or provide set up or clean up of decorations.
What will Amber House provide?
We will provide a clean garden, tables and chairs. Tables and chairs are an additional cost. Inquire within.
What hours are weddings permitted at Amber House?
The garden area is available from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Can we hire a DJ for our wedding event?
DJs are permitted in our garden only at a reasonable sound level until 8 p.m. (close of event).
What do I have to do to secure the date of my wedding at Amber House?
We require a valid credit card to hold the date of your event as well as a 20% non-refundable deposit. The balance of the wedding must be paid in full seven days before the date of the event. We accept cash and all major credit cards.
